Jon NIELSEN Obituary

Sending our love & deepest sympathy to Mrs Nielsen, Lisa & Craig, Sonja & Richard, Sophie, Campbell & Duncan. I have many fond memories of Mr Nielsen. (He preferred me to call him Jon in later years but it was hard to break the habit of a lifetime). I remember his large, well cared for vege garden in Alicetown, the pipe he smoked, Danish trolls, frikadeller, his love of schnapps´s & the mother-in-laws tongues that he grew by the dozen! He put up with me almost every day after school for years but we developed a good repartee. I´m so pleased I saw him on our girls´ trip to Taupo recently. Treasure the good memories to help you through this sad time. May he rest in peace. Apologies that we are unable to be there to say farewell but know that we are thinking of you all. Xo
