KEARNEY, Jon Christopher. Ex CPOWM, Q18713 RNZN. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous fight right to the end on Monday, October 5, 2015; aged 67 years. Loved and loving husband of Joan, "Hawkes Bay Champion" Dad to Megan, Mike and Michelle, and Rachael and James and adored Poppa of Tessa, Jake, Sophie, Hamish, Scarlett and Isabelle. The family would like to thank the incredible team at Hastings Hospital in ICU who have cared for Jon and helped us as a family through this devastating journey. John, I will miss you very much. We had some ups and downs over the years, but, you were always there for me. You fought such a tough fight but still had a wicked sense of humour. Rest in Peace Gruggsy, you surely deserve it. Love you lots, Dangle xx
