Jon Brandish was a true gentleman, a decent man, a sound bloke.

Jon, so glad that we got the chance to catch up in January and to meet your loving partner Xiaoyan and your adorable daughter Jade.
You were chosen too young and taken too soon, a big hole left in your family.
You will live on forever in Jade, never to be forgotten. You will be the Guiding Angel looking over Jades shoulder.
Rest In Peace Jon, re-united with your father Ron.
Our hearts are with the family.

Many years ago we were neighbors out at Bethells. Jon liked to keep to himself but I befriended him and his dog. He was super fit and mowed the lawns with his shirt off!
I knew when I met Jon that under a couple of layers of tough life experience he was a sensitive, caring, awesome person.
I remember he used to visit one of his grandparents almost weekly.
It really warms my heart to learn he became a father and deeply saddens me to know he has left a family behind.

Gone far to soon.

I had the good fortune to meet with Jon, for the first time since we were kids, when visiting New Zealand family in January. It was a special occasion anyway, meeting up with Kiwi family after so many years, and it was made all the more special by Jon's overwhelming generosity. He was full of fun and vitality; it really was a pleasure to be in his company again. So, it was such a shock and deeply saddening to hear of Jon's sudden passing. Our thoughts are with Xiaoyan, Jade, Aunt Dianne, James and all our New Zealand family. With love, Suzanne, Steve, Patricia and Roger.

Deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of my nephew:
Jonathan Lionel Brandish (Jon)
You will be deeply missed by your Uncle Chris and your cousins Rob & Kylie
Taken from us way before your time.
The pain is eased slightly knowing that you're re-united and being looked after by your Father and my older brother,
Ronald John Brandish.
