John STREET Obituary

Dear Lorraine and family,
John was one of a kind and I feel very fortunate to have shared time with him. He contributed more to the NZ marine scene than anyone else I know and was generous in many ways, especially his time. His generosity most definitely took time away from family and that I acknowledge with thanks to you all. I'll miss our chats. All the best, Ross Blackman

Dear Lorraine and family.
One of the tallest Kauri of New Zealand's maritime industry has fallen, but will not be forgotten. For Johns legacy not only with the rescue of the Daring and the many many maritime trusts and projects that John has leant a shoulder too, will always be a quiet reminder of the great maritime advocate and benefactor he was. The maritime industry has lost one of its finest and we thank you for sharing John with us all.
