Mavis, sorry for the very belated response to John's passing. Long time since we last talked from the Jaguar Drivers Club days. I thoroughly enjoyed the discussions with John and yourself. John was a very intelligent and engaging personality. I am sure he is being sorely missed. RIP John

Mavis, so sad to hear of John's passing. We so enjoyed meeting and dining with him and you and our group at the end of our 3 week adventure with you through Australia and New Zealand in January-February 2018. Please accept our condolences and know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Went to a gathering of classic car racing and at this was a Ferrari Daytona being driven hard and thoughts immediately turned to John and his Daytona.
We were saddened to read on this website of John’s passing. Our thoughts are with you Mavis.

Dear John, Fly high, higher than you have been before. When we see that bright new star we will know that you missed the moon, but landed with all the other stars, bigger and brighter than any of the others. We shared a lot of highs and lows during our friendship, but the winner was always the "cars", and the great passion and love we had for them. As we look at the night sky we will never forget you and always be grateful for this time we shared together. Rest in peace dear friend. Merilyn, Barry and Michael Messiter.

It is hard to say farewell to a dear friend. Someone who has influenced, shown immense trust and loyalty. Always a guiding light to us. We will never forget our good times and our love of motor cars. Fly high Captain John, and be assured Mavis will be looked after as promised.
