RUPE, John Edward (Rongo). Peacefully at Taumarunui Hospital on Thursday, 2nd August 2018 Aged 77 years. Loved husband of Jennifer. Treasured father, father-in-law and grandfather of Jenny and Maihi, Doyle (deceased), Koro, Tania, Sarah and Dalan, Darral (deceased) and their families. A Service for Rongo will be held at Kauriki Marae, Sunday, the 5th of August followed by interment at the Te Peka Urupa, Hospital Hill, Taumarunui. Taumarunui Funeral Services FDANZ

Miss you Dad! You taught us how to survive and be strong ... when I see the break of dawn I think of you because you often talked about "day break" ... dawn was the time you felt the need to make a move (when we lived in the bush, or heading to the coast). SARAHX
Our precious Dad, a Totara tree has fallen. Thank you for teaching us so much, and passing on your knowledge and sense of humour. See you in HEAVEN!
