John Gerard ROSS

John ROSS Obituary

ROSS, John Gerard. Passed away at home surrounded by his family. Aged 76 years. Dearly loved husband and soul mate of Anne. Much loved Dad of Matt, Joe, Mike, Sam, Liz and Annie. Precious Grambo of Isabella, Sophia, Lachlan, Fleur, Rocco, Sylvia, Mason, Jack, Ella, Xavier, Fletcher, River and Sunny. John was a respected lawyer and New Zealand representative tennis player. Requiem mass to be held at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Whangarei on Monday 22 July at 11am. Followed by refreshments at the Catholic Parish Hall. Private family cremation to follow. John's family wish to thank everyone for their love and support at this difficult time. Special gratitude to the medical staff at Whangarei and Auckland City Hospitals, and Hospice.

To Anne and extended family, so sad to hear of John's passing. I am finding it difficult to come to terms with, so can only imagine how difficult it has been for you all.
Larger than life, one of the really good guys, and 100% into everything, and truly a great & trusted friend.

Condolences to John's family. He was the young firebrand tennis player at Remuera Rackets Club when I was a kid, a sharp wit and ready smile were his trademark back then God bless him. Good lasting memories from the '60s and '70s.
