Charles, to you and all your family, sincere sympathy on the passing of your Father, John.

We were so saddened to hear of John's passing. Olivia and I (and our two little boys Teddy and Toby) met John and Cecily when staying next door to them at Manly beach. We had just moved from the UK, and their warmth and hospitality made such a difference to our early months here in New Zealand.

You were such and kind-hearted and generous person, John. Our thoughts are with Cecily and family at this time.

RIP John. You were a wonderful friend to both Rod and myself. This is indeed sad.
