Dear John, i remember you and your family well. And i think you had a dog called Laddie. Your mother was a legend, and ran Pope's store for all the years that i can remember. I remember you, Bernie, Tony and Topsy. My brother Brian, sister Anne and i (Helen) were the grandchildren of Norman, and Nina McKenzie. They were good times for us. I came across your death while googling back in the day. My darling brother Brian recently died of cancer in December 2019, and my sister Anne died in 1997 at aged 46. I am the eldest, and the older i get the more i remember the times and years spent with my beloved grandparents. Sleep easy John. Helen Cowley-McKenzie.

Our sympathy to the Pope family
We have fond memories of John when the family lived at Hauraki road. I can remember John helping his father delivering the milk in the days of milk cans and billys
