John PEKIN Obituary

PEKIN, John (Jack). (Regt. No. 423131, 30th Battn.) On 7 September 2012, in his 92nd year. Much loved husband of the late Gwen (Phillips) and father of Beverley, father-in-law of Robert Simpson and Dar of Trudy and Barry and the late Nigel, Great Grandee of Jacob, Daniel and Zoe. A service for Jack will be held at Alexandra House Chapel, 570 Alexandra Street, Te Awamutu on Wednesday 12 September 2012 at 11.00am followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations would be preferred to St John, Te Awamutu and may be left at the service. All communications to the Pekin family c/- PO Box 137, Te Awamutu. My parents, Muriel and Tom Haworth were great friends of Jack and Gwen and for many years remembered the real fun times that they had. I always liked to visit when the Pekins were there - such a great couple. Jack did so well to get to such a good age. I have not seen him in recent years but the memories were still there. Our Sincere Sympathy to you Beverley and family, it is sad to say goodbye but be rest assured there will be fun in Heaven aplenty.
