PARR, John David. Peacefully at home in Christchurch, on 9 August, 2012. Eldest son of the late Frederick and Erna Parr. Dearly beloved husband and companion of Christine and loved Dad of Richard and Pauline, Catherine and Matthew, Rachel and Doug, Sarah, Tim and Anna. Grandfer of Bart, Ted, Charlie, Robyn and Joseph; Rebekah, Zoe and Ezra; Tessa, Penny, Lucy and Quin. Great Grandfer of Izach and Kayla. Also known as Superman, Darling, John the Pom, John the Baptist, The Famous JDP, Dad and Grandfer. 'But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me.' 'My grace is sufficient for you.' A celebration of John's life will be held at the John Rhind Funeral Directors, 13 London Street, Richmond, Christchurch, on Friday 17th August, at 1pm, followed by private cremation.
