Page, John Hansen. John died peacefully on Tuesday 3 March 2026 at the age of 89 years. Beloved and cherished husband of Jeanette for 65 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Andrew and Juliet, Tim and Sue. Devoted grandad of Sam, Abby, Matt and Marj, and Daniel, and beloved brother of Carole. A service of celebration for a life well lived will be held at St David's in the Fields Community Church, 202 Hillsborough Road on Wednesday 11 March 2026 at 11am. No flowers by request. 'Well done, good and faithful servant! .... Come and share your master's happiness!' Matthew 25:21

Condolences to John's family. Attached is a photo of John together with the staff of Bank of New Zealand, Training Centre (mid 1980's). This photo was kindly given to me in 2013 by Nick Bercich (also a staff member there). Nick typed the caption below the photo. This condolence message is on behalf of my late twin sister Sandy Hirstich, who worked with John at the Training Centre and spoke highly of him. Thinking of you all.

My condolences Jeanette and family. Been on this journey, understand the feelings and thinking/praying for you all. A gentleman and God's loyal servant as he is deservedly welcomed into God's house. Sorry I will miss the celebration on Wednesday as I have a meeting I cannot postpone. Virtual hug to you all.
