John MURPHY Obituary

MURPHY, John. Born January 11, 1934. Murphy, John Passed away on December 23rd just shy of his 91st birthday. Loved husband of Moira Tretheway-Murphy, and member of her extended family. A devoted father to Maree, John, Kate, Angela, and Michael, and father-in-law to Lyn, Ian, and Robbie. Proud Grandad of Sylvia, Amber, Alannah, Aaron, Brentie, Abe, Brynie, and Jamie; and great-grandad of Mac, Ella, Aurora, Dom, Audrey, and Leighton; and a besotted dad to a succession of adored pets, most recently Sascha. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Patrick Ferry Hospital for their care. RIP King. We hope when you stepped down from the train, there to meet you was your Mum, Dad, Michael and the green, green grass of home.

Moira and family, your Mum's cousins the sons of Peter & Eileen Couch, send our condolences on the passing of John whom we met when Ross organised his brothers to visit "lost" family members at their homes a few years back. Moira, take care and the good memories become important because as I write this today would have been John's 91st birthday. A life well lived and man well loved. RIP
