McLEAN, John Rogers. On 11th April 2026 in Dargaville, aged 87. Husband of the late Mary. Dad to Ray, Katy and David, Andrew and Debbie, and the late Michael. Pa to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 'Husband to one, Father to four, Teacher to many, And a mate to more.' A memorial service will be held at the Northern Wairoa Boating Club, Totara Street, Dargaville on Saturday 18th April 2026 at 2:00pm. Messages to 'The McLean Family', PO Box 306, Dargaville 0340.

John was wonderful companion when we taught at DHS. Forever practical, we had great laughs organising shows at the school, he being the stage director. What a hoot! We did a documentary together for the Dargaville district and spent many hours together editing the documentary on the first settlers to Northern Wairoa. A great mate and a great friend. Rest in peace John
