Dear Marilyn and family, we are saddened to hear of John's passing. I enjoyed getting to know John better through my time on the board of Life Unlimited. It was a joy to realise how much he is respected within the disability community.
We were hoping to come to his funeral, but something has come up in our family.
He was a capable, committed and caring person, a good man with strong ethics and a good sense of humour who will be sadly missed.
We send our warmest condolences and best wishes to you and all his many friends and colleagues.
Arohanui,
Lindsay & Lynley Cumberpatch

Our sincerest condolences to Marilyn and family.
So sad to hear of John's passing.
We will always remember John singing 'Route 66' at the gathering recently, with the same talent of 50 years ago.
An incredibly kind and gentle man who will be missed.
