Privilege knowing John. A special man. Learnt a lot as a young fella watching and listening to him as we played golf at Waihi. Will miss him. But will ensure his memory stays alive and well with family and friends

Condolences to all the family. I have many good memories of school days at Sacred Heart College, Glen Innes, with John. Attached are a photo of John from a class photo, plus a poor quality photo of John (left, plus Michael Hudson middle, and John Briar) at the swimming pool, probably in 1963. RIP, John. Brian Leonard.

So sorry to hear John had passed away. We have such fond memories of John in our Kiwifruit days in Waihi. Sincere sympathy to Dorothy and all the family.

Deepest sympathy to all of his family. He was my eldest nephew and when I worked for his father he used to follow me everywhere. He just loved to reminisce about the old times. about how I taught him to kick a rugby ball and he could not kick with his left foot!! Sad times but some great memories,
