Thinking of you and my appreciation for John
Dear Caroll, Trevor, Dian, Robyn-Jane, Paula and Glen
So very sorry to hear of your sudden loss. My heart goes out to you all.
I visited John and Susie in their Kinsman St address 22 odd years ago - all dressed up to introduce myself - I am not sure what they made of me - but being able to talk about cars and mechanics helped - and of course living in Dunedin!
I have always appreciated that John reached out and made the effort to be in contact, and Susie´s acceptance.
Robyn-Jane and I will be with you on Wednesday via the livestream.
Yours John Wren

I was saddened to hear of John's passing. I had a lot of respect for him and was fortunate to be able to enjoy his company both in business dealings and at Beachlands Speedway. I regret I will be unable to attend his funeral service but my thoughts will be with his family.

A friend of 60 years, so many fond memories of growing up together.
Huge bonfires on Guy Fawkes at the bottom of the garden (now part of NW motorway): building trolleys and racing down New Bond St; years at Scouts, camps, jamborees, getting lost in Waitakere's, pinching hot bread from Stormont's, riding to school each day together, going out in our courting years with Susie, parties, weddings. Then living at opposite end of the country but stayed in touch with visits north or south, phone and email.
Rest in peace mate
Condolences to the rest of the McCracken gang from days of the 50's and 60's, Trevor, Caroll and Dian, thinking of you and remembering John and the good times

Memories of John and his humour, of growing up in Kingsland where our families all knew each other. He was a character that pushed the boundaries and made our childhood exciting. Condolences to both family and siblings.
