To Jackie and family my thoughts are with you all at this moment of sorrow.
My name is Donna McMahon(nee Kemp) I have known Mac (Mackypoo) as I used to call him, since 1982. I started work at International Harvesters in the December of that year. Mac was my boss. I was young and raw in the workforce. What a great start it was for me to have such a patient man and so full of great knowledge. He taught me so much and we had a lot of fun throughout the 25yrs I remained at Harvesters. When Mac retired I remained in contact with him even when he moved to Keri keri. I will miss the chats, jokes and major discussions on food.
I missed his visitations when he was no longer able to come down to Auckland....as we always caught up.
May you rest in peace and the memories I have of you will remain deep in my heart. You were a great friend to me and I will miss you dearly.
RIP my dear friend
Love always Donna, Tommy and Grace XXX

Dear Jackie and family,
I was so sorry to learn of the passing of Mac your lovely dad Jackie. I have known Mac since 1972 when I married Laird Kelly. We used to go to Mac's place in Ellerslie and have some lovely parties back in the day. He always cooked a super curry and rice for supper. He loved his music. Mac always visited us when my children were small on Christmas day, and if he couldn't visit, he would always ring. He has kept in touch till last Christmas when I missed his card. I visited him a few times at the Retirement Village in Keri Keri when I was up that way. Mac was always interested in my family and what they were doing. He will be sadly missed by you all.
My deepest sympathies go to all the family at this very sad time. I will miss you Mac and your cheery phone calls from time to time. Love to all. Ann Kelly and girls
