John MARX Obituary

MARX, John Barry (Barry). On Thursday 4th August 2022, Barry died peacefully at Whakatane Hospital aged 93 with his two daughters at his side. He was a dearly loved husband of the late Shirley (nee Ellis). Cherished Dad and Father in-law of Lynne Marx-Sheather, and Karen and Martin Gow. A much-loved grandfather of Shane, Georgiana and Daniel. As per Barry's wishes a family service has been held to celebrate his life. I was privileged to be a carer for Barry at Bupa Mary Shapley.
Barry was a true gentleman at all times, always so grateful for everything that was done for him.It was lovely that we got to share his 93rd birthday with him and his family.
Loved Barry's sense of humour.
We will miss him dearly.Heartfelt
