John Charles MACCORMICK

John MACCORMICK Obituary

MACCORMICK, John Charles. Passed away peacefully on 5 January 2025 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Thesy, father of Kenneth, Alastair and Matthew and grandfather of Haylea, Morgan and Emily. John will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

John was a gentle man of great knowledge. He was a caring and kind father-in-law, and I always think fondly of how he patiently taught me how to fillet a blue cod in the Marlborough Sounds (one of many lovely memories). My father also loved going out on the launch in the Sounds with John and spoke often of it. A great man, a thoughtful and immensely intelligent man, a loving father...he will be missed.
