John(Mac) McQUILLAN Obituary

McQUILLAN, John(Mac) (Jack). NZ Army WWII Div Cav 80509. Aged 95 years. Late of Tranmere Road Fairfield Hamilton. Jack passed away peacefully with Irene and Jude by his side after he completed his final tour of duty on Sunday 23rd December 2012 at Radius Matua Tauranga. Dearly loved husband and friend of Irene and the late Inez. Fondly remembered as Mac and Pop to his extended family. God saw the roads were getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered peace be thine. In accordance with Jack's wishes, a private graveside service has been held. A thanksgiving memorial service will be held for Jack, Woodhill, 167 Grange Road Tauranga on Saturday 5th January at 11.30 am. Sincere thanks are extended to Jack's GP Dr Rob Nichols, Waipuna Hospice and the caring staff of Camilla Wing at Radius Matua who all looked after Jack so well. All communications to McQuillan Family c/- P O Box 3136 Tauranga 3142.
