John LYONS Obituary

LYONS, Monsignor John Edward (Jack) On 25 Jan 2016, aged 86 years. Loved brother of Daniel and Uncle to Trish, Pete and Liz. God's devoted servant, Monsignor was a spiritual advisor and friend to his many parishioners for over 60 years. John 15:9-17 "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love." Heartfelt thanks to the Little Sisters team for their compassionate care. A Vigil Mass will be held at Holy Cross Parish Hall, 21 Carruth Road, Papatoetoe on Friday 29 January at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 16 Vermont Street, Ponsonby on Saturday 30 January at 11:30am, followed by interment at St Patrick's Church Cemetery, Panmure. All communication to Lyons family c/- PO Box 56013, Dominion Road, Auckland 1446.
