Fond memories of working as a law clerk with John at Russell McVeagh in the early seventies. A lovely man and absolute gentleman. Condolences from Perth WA.

Dear Jo, Hamish and family, I am deeply saddened by the news of John's passing. John was an amazing friend and mentor to me during our TNZ days and not many days pass even now when one of John's pearls of wisdom comes to mind. I am in Aus on business till Friday 27th so may not be able to join you at John's funeral but rest assured, you are all in my thoughts.
RIP John, a wonderful man, a life well lived. Ross and Jo Blackman
