My husband and I are so sorry to learn of John's passing. I didn't know him too well, I met him in Nelson when I needed a chiropractor and a friend recommended him. The short time I knew him I found him to be a very caring and Christian man and an excellent chiropractor, I was sad when he retired and moved to the North Island. My husband and I send our sincerest condolences to his wife and family. I know the day that he was "promoted to Glory" the Lord greeted him saying "Well done good and faithful servant".

I shall always remember John´s kindness and generosity. From a young age, I realised John´s physical stature and strength was matched with a deep and genuine care for others. John´s professional expertise helped me to find a path to healing. Sending love to you Helen and the extended Loveday family

It Saddens me to hear of Johns passing. I knew John when I was in the 3rd form and he was a mentor to me in many aspects of my life. He was a gentle giant, and a person whom I had great respect in life and sport itself. Please accept my deepest sympathy to you Helen and family. Kind Regards Butch Hewer

John was an amazing and genuine chiropractor with a deep body/mind/spirit connection - his practice embodied what healthcare should be along with a deeply personal care for each and every client. I have missed his care since he was unable to continue practicing!

He was an absolute joy to be around - that huge smile and laugh, always so happy to see you and genuine interest in what was happening in your life. His larger-than-life presence will be dearly missed. May your journey home be peaceful John.

Sending love and thoughts to all of John's family and friends at this difficult time.

John and I shared the same birthday. We both represented New Zealand All Blacks in the position as lock forwards. Together we shared our faith and conversions to following Jesus, around the North Island to Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship meetings and with prisoners at Kaitoki Prison, Wanganui.

As my Chiropractor he was a real professional in every way.

I will be unable to travel on Monday to attend John's service of celebration, but I will treasure the wonderful memories and times we shared together.

To Helen and Family my love and deepest sympathy.

My friend John was not a sea fearing man but on one occasion he´d did venture out of Okiwi Bat to drag some scallops. I gave JK instructions and a line of bearing so he would stay away from any sea sickness. After our catch we headed to a wee beach and to JK´s delight I set up and cooked fresh scallops in butter and lemon pepper. The boy loved it. The rest of the take came home with us.
Welcome home John. May you peacefully rest. A true delight of a man.

John was loved by many from every walk of life, A big man with an even bigger heart. He played a big part in my life during the 1980s-1990's' and showed me kindness, unconditional love and acceptance at a time when I was isolated and alone. He was a dear friend. The world was a better place for having him in it. To the extended Loveday family and to Helen, I am so sorry for your loss. His memory lives on in you. Anna Bell/Prichard and Jeremy Prichard.
