John LOUIS Obituary

LOUIS, John Peter. On 10 June 2025 in Upper Hutt, tragically as the result of a house fire; aged 69 years. Much loved brother of Gordon Danby (deceased), Harry and Dreena. Loved son of Peter and Winnie (both deceased) and Uncle of Louisa, Billie-Jo, and Zack. Family wish to thank the Emergency Service crews who attended. A Memorial Service for John will be held in Kingswood, Cnr King and Cairo Street, Upper Hutt on Wednesday, 18 June 2025 at 10.30am. A Memory of Uncle Johnny

When I was younger, some of my fondest memories of my uncle were made at my grandparents´ beach house in Paraparaumu. Johnny had a special bond with my Dad, Gordon, and I can still picture them heading down to the beach together, rods in hand, dragging the dingy into the water for a great day of fishing. It wasn´t just about catching anything - it was about the company, the ocean breeze, and the stories they´d share out on the sea.

Losing him in the house fire was a shock that still feels unreal. He was a good man, a good brother, and a wonderful uncle.
