Eric and I were greatly saddened to hear of John's death and extend our very deepest condolences to Ross.

John - you so fed our hearts, our minds - and our bodies

John lived a good and full life and will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

John had a very interesting and full life seldom experienced by many others . Joining the British Merchant Navy as a very young man he sailed around the world in famous liners to many countries,including New Zealand.. Later he had the good fortune to visit many lands With considerable experience in the hotel industry he was involved in hospitality in New Zealand until he retired.

For many years a loyal partner of Ross ,who he met in London .

Renowned for his friendliness and wonderful hospitality he will be sorely missed by his many friends throughout the world

He faced his last months with great fortitude which was an example
to us all.

LEWIS, John William Passed away at Caughey Preston Hospital on 23 June 2016. Much loved Brother-in-law of Diane and Murray Wilson, Uncle of Debra and James Lockie and Gerard and the late Jane Hulst, Great Uncle of William and Euan Lockie and Catherine and the late Rebecca Hulst.
