John LAAN Obituary

LAAN, John. Born 16 February 1925 in Spanbroek, Holland, died 23 February 2025 in Auckland, aged 100 years and one week. Devoted husband of the late Mary and loved father of the late Gerard, of Katrina and husband Paul, and Reginald and partner Janice. Grandfather of Harriet and husband Amitabh, and of Nicholas, Grace and Sophia. Great-grandfather of Amara. Ome Jan to all his family in Holland. John has donated his body to medical research. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 180 Centreway Road, Orewa on Tuesday 11 March at 9.30am. All communications to [email protected]
