Dearest Jo,
Being so long ago, I hope this correspondence finds it's way to you.

We, Steven and I, met you John and Georgia around year 2000 on Rarotonga and loved spending time with you. As I will be making my first trip to NZ soon, I looked into how to reach out to you and discovered this website and learned that your dear John has passed. I am so so sorry. My heart goes out to you, Georgia and all that knew and loved John. I too lost my husband in 2008.

We loved our time with your family and I was inspired by your travels, John's fitness and all that he had accomplished already. I also remember him introducing us to Vegemite; not sure we liked it like he did. :-) And of course your dear little girl and her love of horses was a joy to be around. That trip was magical for us in large part due to you, John and Georgia.

At this risk of making my email public, feel free to reach out to me if you wish at [email protected]. I will also send you a letter at the last address I have for you which may no longer be valid, but will not mention here for privacy reasons.

Forever in my thoughts, Cindy

I had no idea until today that John had passed away and am sad and shocked. Being a nanny is a privilage and my time in your family caring for Georgia will always be special to me, my very first nanny job and Georgias first nanny. You really do get to know family members quite well. Gosh John adored his little girl so very much! And what a special love John shared with you Jo. My love to you both x

Dear Jo-ann, so shocked to read in the Herald yesterday that John has passed. We didn't know you guys long, having met through the hunting fraternity when you stayed with us while attending a Northland Hunt jubilee five years ago now. We so enjoyed hosting you both, and also to catch up with you at the Waikato Hunt week last year in April was a pleasure. What a lovely couple and so happy to have got to know you briefly, and we are so saddened that John has gone. Thinking of you Jo-ann and your daughter, Georgia, at this very sad time.
