John Elliot Soper JENKISON

John JENKISON Obituary

JENKISON, John Elliot Soper (Jenks). Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Waikato Hospital, on Thursday 5th August 2021; aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of Pauline. Loved father and father-in-law of John and Rebecca (UK), James and Soly (UK), Hamish and Catherine, Sarah and David (fiance). Loving brother of Heather. Cherished grandad of Neve, Esmee, Conor, Sadie, Harley and Eliza. Special thanks to the staff at the Thames and Waikato hospitals. John's sons from the UK are required to complete MIQ. A service to celebrate John's life will be held at St Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church, 111 Baillie Street, Thames on Saturday 4th of September at 11:00am, followed by interment at Totara Memorial Park Cemetery, Thames. Rest in Peace, John. We will miss your kind, witty and selfless spirit.

John was my solicitor until his retirement. He was honest, practical, pragmatic and sympathetic, almost a father figure who I trusted implicitly. Thank you John. My sympathy goes to the loved ones you leave behind. The world has lost a true gentleman.

Our sincere sympathy goes to Pauline and family from the Thames Valley Rugby Football Union.

John was a most valued Honorary Solicitor for the union and fully deserved the award of Honorary Membership of the Thames Valley Rugby Football Union.

John was our Lawyer from 1972 to 2016. Not only a great Lawyer, but a mentor, and advisor. Most of all a very dear friend. We will miss you John.
