John Hosking Obituary

HOSKING, Rev Dr John Samuel (Jock). On Saturday 11 December, 2010 peacefully after a short illness. Loved father and father-in-law of Cathryn and Graham Wyllie, Jenny and Marston Conder, and Rachel Gallagher. Grandfather of Kate and James, Jonathan and Matthew, Rebecca and Melanie. Brother and brother- in-law of Ruth and Peter Mears (Christchurch); former husband of Dawn Hatchard; only son of Rita and Merlin Hosking (deceased). A celebration of Jock's life will be held at 1pm on Saturday 18 December, 2010 at St Johns Church Centre, 149 Kamo Road, Kensington, Whangarei, followed by private cremation. Family, friends and colleagues are invited to gather up to 45 minutes before the service to sit and listen to extracts of his favourite music. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts would be appreciated and may be made direct to "Lifeline", PO Box 8024, Whangarei or left in the church foyer.
