Hobin, John Henry (Harry). Service No. 444359, RNZAF, World War II. Passed away peacefully on 30th December 2025, aged 99. Dearly beloved husband of Gael Atwill and of the late Valerie Hobin. Loved father of Terry, Dean (Sydney), Paul and Mark and father-in-law of Robyn (Sydney) and Yanti. Great friend of Helen Humphries, Diane Ferguson and Susan Hobin. Grandfather of Daniel and Kristen (Sydney), Tom and Esther, Jeremy and Michelle, Christian and Gill (Sydney), Patrick and Gabrielle, Toby and Alyssa (Melbourne), Stephanie, Tania. Great Grandfather of Macklin, Otis, Luke, Sierra, Rafferty, Mikayla, Kai, Madison, Phoebe. Loved brother-in-law of the late Gael Wipani, the late Bob Winiata, Jan and Jim Menzies. Loved by his many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Harry's life will be held at the Bays Club, 6 Anzac Ave, Browns Bay on Wednesday 14th January 2026 at 2:30pm. Communications to [email protected]
