John HARRÉ Obituary

HARRE, Dr John Norman C.N.Z.M. (for services to education) On Tuesday 7 February 2023 at Waitakere Hospital, aged 91 A long life of adventure, service and creativity has come to an end. John's wife Gitti, children Niki, Chris, Laila, Ivan and Sophia and their partners Keith, Carol, Barry, Elizabeth and Nick give thanks for the love, encouragement, friendship and many skills he has shared. Alongside his grandchildren Nick, Sam, Rita, Joshua, Dillon, Max, Jack, Carla, Mirabelle and Margaux and great grandchildren Penny, Isla, Eve, Jude and Molly, we acknowledge those who have passed before him, walked with him, and whose knowledge, stories, labour and aroha have sustained him. We pay respect to the lands and waters that have nourished him, especially in Aotearoa, Fiji and Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa. Due to the cyclone scheduled on Monday the funeral service for John has been postponed. A memorial service will take place on Sunday 26th February 2023, time and location to be advised.
