John HARKNESS Obituary

HARKNESS, John James. Born 11 April 1938, Passed away peacefully on Sunday 8 June 2025, at Possum Bourne Retirement Village, following his brave battle with Parkinsons for many years. Beloved husband of the late Glenis Jane Harkness. Much loved Father of Robyn-Lee, Jeffrey and Toni and Father- in-law of Rob and Matt. Loved Pa of James, Liam and Kyle, and newly met Great- Grandpa of Abigail and Sophie. Much loved Brother of Pat and the late Brian. We all love you so much - you were the best father anyone could ever wish for. We wish you happiness and peace where you are now with Mum. A private cremation has been held at Dads request, a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday 28 June 2025, please call Robyn-Lee for details or to send communications - 0212242948.

Heartfelt condolences on the passing of John to all the Harkness family. Fond memories of an old school superb builder and good old Kiwi bloke who enjoyed a natter as well as enjoyable catch ups with him & Glenis over the years. My thoughts are with you all. Pat Brassey
