Griff you have been a truly wonderful friend. You were always a gentleman . We will remember the many happy times we had together at the batch in Mangawhai. We will miss your cheeky grin and your jokes.

Dear Anne and family it was only today that I learned of Griff's passing. I have many wonderful memories of Griff from the first time I encountered him as an officer at Parnell Fire Station and over the years that followed there were many enjoyable events (some shared over a slowly sipped beer that turned into many) Rest in peace Griff a truly loyal fire fighter with a courageous heart of gold.Your email to me following Tamahere is treasured to this day.

Firstly condolences to Anne and family,our careers run closely together with Cliff and I the three of us being promoted and appointed to Parnell early 1970 and for the next 6 years we worked closely together.Griff demanded respect but he also gave resect to all he worked with.He will be missed,rest in peace brother I think of you often and the many happy times together both on and off the job.
