John GOODALL Obituary

GOODALL, John Russell (Russ). Russ Goodall, age 89, passed away on 10 December 2025, in Hamilton, after a 7-year struggle with stroke-related disabilities. He was the dearly loved husband of Eleanor for 60 years, the treasured father of Larry (Lorri), Michelle (Owen), and Rosanne (Colin), and was cherished by grandchildren Joey, Andy, Noah, Sarah, Susan, Amy, Max, Josh, Ryan, Zac, Cara, Regan, and Haley. Russ liked to be the centre of attention and he had the wit, good cheer, and presence to achieve it. He had a zest for life described by his father's phrase, "Ride to the front and stop there!" He was loved by his extended family, church friends, and those he positively impacted in his role as farmhand, construction worker, teacher, Corrections Officer, and garage sale champion. One of his most notable achievements was to publish "Good God - The Goodalls", a family history penned with his 6 siblings (see eBook on amazon.com.au). The family extends heartfelt thanks to staff at Steele Park Home for their dedicated care. We are rejoicing with Russ over his graduation to the eternal presence of his Lord Jesus Christ.
