John ELVIN Obituary

ELVIN, John McKay (Jock). At the age of 99 years, Jock passed away peacefully on 3 December 2025, surrounded by his family. Only son of the late Jock and Helen (Nellie) Elvin, brother of the late Bill (deceased WWII) and part of the wider Elvin whanau, devoted husband of the late Shirley (nee Lochhead) and deeply loved and respected father and father in-law of Graeme and Fiona, and the late Neil. Dearly loved Grandpa of Rebecca and Matt, Harriet and James, Tom and Sara, Ed and Natalie; and Nicholas, Olivia and Georgia. Adored great grandpa (and keeper of the biscuits) of Gus, Greta and Violet, Evie and Noah, Arabella, and James. Dear friend of Robert Garrity. A service to celebrate and remember Jock will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 215 Devonport Road Tauranga, on Sunday 21 December 2025 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation.
