John DYKES Obituary

DYKES, John Mayhead. Passed away peacefully in the presence of family on 22nd February 2016. A loved father, grandfather, uncle and husband to Gay for 53 years. John spent 40 years working for NZED. He will be missed. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Mercy Parklands Ellerslie for their care of John. A service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4 Lucia Glade, Meadowbank on Tuesday, 1st March at 10am.

15Jan17 - Sorry to see this notice of John's passing. I well remember the pure glee in his eyes when given a new powder blue Holden station wagon to tear about in - pity that it turned into a rust bucket.
