Hi Uncle Dave,
I remember occassionally being allowed to sort the mountain of coins from the 'honesty boxes'. It was fun finding coins of different nationalities. Probably not so fun for you and Aunty Naomi, especially the milk tokens and washers that people used instead of legal currency.
My other major memories involve the excitement that was generated as Dad and the boys were in preparing for duck shooting or 'the roar'with you. Male bonding before it fashionable, father's teaching sons the rules of hunting.
Thank you Aunty Naomi for looking after Nana. Lots of love, Julie

I remember how you used to let us go to the Easter Show. You always met us at the gate and gave us an extra $5. The love and kindness and time you have given to Nicholas and Angela has been wonderful. I was priviledged to spend most of the last 4 days by your side, and say goodbye, for now. Love Louise, Nicholas and Angela xxx

I sat and watched you struggle for every last breath as with determination and courage you fought a battle you were never destined to win.
Rest in peace good friend and brother-in-law you have earned the right to do so. Love Pam and John.

Mr Dexter.
You were my first boss, as a teenager delivering newspapers, and kind enough to offer me one of the undeliverable leftovers each morning, I appreciated that so much, and you let me have school holidays off too. You also, almost daily, took the p..s out of me flying with "air nauru". To me, a gruff old bugger but a rough diamond. Go well, and my sincere condolences to Mrs Dexter, and your family.

Each life touches this world in a way no others can, leaving not only wonderful memories, but lasting imprints in our hearts. I won't forget you Uncle David, especially those herald runs at some ungodly time of the morning.

It is times like this we wish we lived closer. We will never forget the generosity, support and advice Uncle David gave us. We loved drinking a few red wines together and enjoyed many laughs. Gone but not forgotten. Deborah, Richard, Morgan and Rebecca. (Sydney, Australia).
