John DAVIES Obituary

DAVIES, John Brian . Monday 20 May 2024 after a short illness, at a grand ninety years young the time has come to hang up the baking apron. A true gentleman, loved and respected by all. Adored husband of Valerie (Val) for the past 28 years after the passing of Thora. Father and father-in-law to the late Linda and Tony; Debra and Iain; Steve and Sarah. Forever proud of his grandchildren. Nannette, Isabella, Charlotte, Ben (UK), Cathy (France) Glen (Reunion) Scott (Canada). He was Uncle John to his nieces and nephews and a good old fella uncle to Grant and Di (Aus). Great Grandfather to Valentine (France) and James (Reunion). Thank you to the staff of Patrick Ferry Hospital for your care of John in his final days, and to Dr Chris Maud for his support and witty humor shared with John over the years. Whilst we might not get to taste your cakes and hear your fine singing voice any more you remain in our hearts. To honor John's wishes, a private cremation has taken place.
