CRAIG, John Leonard. Passed on 4 th July 2022 at home in Invercargill. Much loved husband of Gaynor; in love for 68 years. Brother of Brian. Father to David, Peter, and Stuart. Father-in- law to Liz, Hannah, Laarni; grandfather to Nick, Jack, Samantha, Saji, and Christopher. A friend and fellow punster to Andy, Ben, Reg, Bob, Peter, John, Bruce, Ian…… and any listeners going! One of the best teachers ever, much loved at schools including Springdale, Tuakau, Kowhai, May Rd, Coatesville, Marshall Laing. Headmaster of Ruapotaka school, visiting teacher/ social worker to west and central Auckland schools. Devoted to the Plymouth Brethren of Morrinsville, Howe St, Wiremu street, Glass Road, Browns Bay, Eden Chapel, Elles Road Bible Chapel, Three Kings Congregational, Glen Eden Baptists, Tweed Heads Hub and Liberty Church.Counsellor and volunteer ESOL teacher. Epic trip and holiday organizer. What a huge life of everyday service, giving, discussing, frugality, care, and fun.
