I have just arrived back to Australia after a quick visit to Hastings, Uncle John (Jack) was on my mind and have just googled to find out his death
So sorry to hear of his passing

Dear Jill, Anne-Marie & John
Please accept our condoliances with John's passing - he has always been a real figure head in my life and I enjoyed going to see him not only when we lived in Havelock North but lately when I visited HB would always try and pop up to see him.

It was only recently that I learnt that he was the oldest surviving Foundation Pupil of St Pats Silverstream and of course what a wonderful Air Force career, Family Man and Businessman.

I am proud to have known such a woderful man and will miss those chats together.
