John Catchpole Obituary

CATCHPOLE, John Cunningham. Peacefully (after a long and frustrating illness) at Whitianga Continuing Care Unit, on 10 March, 2011; aged 82 years. Cherished and beloved husband of Elizabeth, admired and loved father, stepfather and father-in-law of Mark and Ann, Kay and Richard (England), Joanne (Australia), Mike and Janet, Clive (deceased), and Caroline. Deeply appreciated grandfather John of Joshua and Emily, Gemma and Ben, Hayley and Hunter, Joshua, Daniel, Matthew and Simon (Australia). John, such an astute and humorous man, lived a full and happy life and will stay in the hearts of Betty and all the family for ever. In accordance with John's wishes, a private cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of John's life will be held at their home in Whitianga, time and date to be advised.
