It was a privilege to know John and I am grateful to our unforgettable Libby for having introduced me to you both. We didn't catch up as often as I'd have liked to but I do treasure happy memories of our times together and hope to visit you when next up North.

We are so sorry to hear of John's passing. We have wonderful memories of working with John at Multi Serve Education Trust and the collegial relationship developed between Trevor and John.

We loved your husband and hope he had settled well with his Gin into his new word. He was a great friend to both of us and such an excellent colleague to us as we settled into NZPF. To a beloved God Father

I meet John and Jane at The Orewa Croquet Club, when I first started playing golf croquet in September 2020.He was always helpful and friendly and played to a very high standard. Condolences to Jane and family

John was a dear colleague and friend . We are reflecting on the time we studied at Massey University together in the `good old days´ along with the collegial support and friendship that followed. Sending our sincere love and condolences to Jane and the family.

John Boyens only touched my life very briefly back in about 1970. He was my standard 4 teacher at Freyberg Memorial Primary School in West Auckland. I wasn't particularly well suited to school at that time in my life due to family circumstances that we all now understand but didn't then but he was the one teacher from all of my schooling that stands out as being a great teacher. John was ahead of his time in teaching methods and for that I thank him.

To Jane and whanau. We send our condolences. John was a great colleague and friend. I (Peter) learned an enormous amount from him when I was his DP at Yendarra School. He was a real
educationalist whom I much admired.

John was my Dads (Rex William Boyens) cousin and also a very dear friend... my mum Judy and my Dad shared lots of fun times and have many fond memories of their time with John and also Jane... my connection with John has developed over the years... both he and Jane always made Noel and I so very welcome...he was a great man ... rest in peace John... take good care of yourself Jane..love Judy (Pearce) and Noel

`Laughing, travelling and a good gin´ exactly describes our travels together over many years. At my John´s funeral you said he was like a brother to you and that´s what we were - a close knit gang of 6. So many wonderful memories to get us all thru the next few months.
John and Jane - you inspired us all to have the happiest and most loving relationships.
Go and join yr mates upstairs who will be waiting with a gin in hand.
