John BOWLER Obituary

BOWLER, John Rex. Former Newspaper, Radio and Television Journalist. Passed away Wednesday 22 June 2016, aged 81. Loved husband of Jo. Loved dad and father-in-law of Shaun and Joy, Sharyn and Rhys and Gramps to Lauren, Holly and Julian. He fought to save Weiti. The family wish to thank the caring team at North Shore Hospice. A service for John will be held at Forrest Funeral Services, 8 Glen Road, Browns Bay on Tuesday June 28 at 11am. Arohanui Moose.

I think John was a very old friend of mine and his parents were friends of my parents. He lived in Sreatham South London before emigrating to New Zealand. I would love it if his family were able to confirm. His was the son of Rex and Lilian Bowler.
