BEGGS, John Raymond (Jack). 32069 RNZEME. Born October 31, 1930, died peacefully at Fairview Care July 11, 2021. Loving husband of Rhyl and loved father of Tanya, Jacqueline and John (deceased), and their partners Tony, Carrie and Allan. Popa to Hamish, Joshua, Russell, Morgan, Jack, Michael, Heath, Alayna and Ronin. A service of remembrance, to celebrate his life, will be held at Trinity at Waiake - 864 Beach Road, Torbay on Friday July 16 2021 at 11am. Jack was a great man from the Greatest Generation. What a class act.
He made a decision along with Rhyl to pick me up hitchhiking on the South Island in 1985 while they were celebrating their wedding anniversary. My life changed forever.
The Beggs family became my family and I will eternally be grateful. That fateful decision led to an extraordinary friendship with their son John. John admired and respected his father to the highest degree.
Rhyl, Tanya, Jacqueline and all the grandchildren..... My heart weeps alongside yours.
Thank you Jack for all the memories.
