Many happy memories going back to our time in London in the 50's and at the Down Under Club -
and it was good to catch up finally in Havelock North
My thoughts are with you both at this sad time.

So saddened to hear of John's passing.
I posted the sad news on the Te Aroha Facebook page and so many commented with fond memories of him and the family time there.
I remember so many fun times at Piako County.
Thinking of you both Carrie and Pip.

I first meet John in Wellington in 1976 when I was a fresh young traffic officer straight out of the Training College. He was my Chief Traffic Officer, and one of the best bosses I ever worked for in a career that has spanned 45 years and counting. He was incredibly approachable and supportive of his staff. His support, wisdom, and guidance during his time in Wellington had a significant impact on my approach to traffic enforcement over the years.
You were truly 1 in a million JPA, rest in peace my friend.
My sincere condolences to Caro and Pip
