Last Thursday Nemia and Henk returned to Australia and learned of Hans' passing .I have known Hans for over 40 years. Hans was a man's man . Never afraid to tackle the seemingly impossible and often succeeding in that, Hans lived the fullest life imaginable, He was by far the most fascinating and interesting "fun" client I ever had the pleasure to know .Hans thrived in taking on the bureaucracy and remarkably, aided by his good friend Ian Ramsay he often succeeded. The more impossible a project seemed to be,Hans would be interested in undertaking it .That was Hans van Duijn . In all the years that I have known him ,he never ceased singing the praises of his Gerda his terrific wife. As for Hans and Renee they were the apples of his eye .Under his tutelage he saw them grow into capable hard working men.Dianne so conscientiously kept his business affairs on the straight and narrow while Helen and Lisa would do anything for their parents.Hans and Gerda raised a caring and closely knit family. That in itself is a worthy epitaph to remember a life well lived .

I'm sorry to hear about your Dads passing. I met your Dad on a job back in the 80s. Although I have only seen him a few times since he left a lasting impression. I admired his get on and do it attitude, he was straight up about things you knew where you stood and his love for his family.
