HOE, Jock. On July 29, 2016 at St Nicolas Hospital, Christchurch, aged 88 years. A dearly loved Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Special thanks to St Nicolas Hospital for their care of Jock. In lieu of flowers, donations towards a pictalia book in memory of Jock. Messages to the Hoe family c/o P.O. Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. A service to celebrate Jock's life will be held at the Academy Funeral Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, Christchurch on Saturday, August 6 at 1.00pm. You introduced me to the world of the Chinese and I was entranced from my very first lecture with you at Massey in 1993. I could not have had a better teacher. Truly, you were Heaven-sent and I have lived my life alongside the Chinese people with great love ever since. I pray that where you reside now is filled with your loved ones.
