Jocelyn WILSON Obituary

WILSON, Jocelyn Evelyn (nee McKinlay). Of Paraparaumu. On 25th May 2017 aged 75 years passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of Ross. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Philippa and Kevin White (deceased), Catherine, Andrew and Georgie, Adrienne and David Schwartfeger. Loved Grandma of Thomas, Olivia, James, Will and Ellie, and long time friend to Tony Steindle. A Celebration of Jocelyn's life will be held at the Kapiti Coast Funeral Home, 9 - 11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu on Thursday 1 June 2017 at 3pm. Private cremation to follow. Special thanks to Paraparaumu District Nurses, Care On Call staff, Dr. Elaine Barrington-Ward and staff, and Dr. Jan Lavery and staff. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wellington Free Amublance would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to 547 Queen Street East, Levin 5510. I C Mark Ltd Levin and Otaki.

Kia ora Ross and whanau, I am so sorry to hear of Jocelyn's death. I had the pleasure of working with her over a number of years in the context of SSPA (Social Service Providers Aotearoa). We also enjoyed your company and support over the later years, Ross as you provided such great practical support to Jocelyn and thereby assisted her to keep working for some years despite her becoming wheelchair bound. She will be long remembered as a strong advocate for the NGO social service sector. We send our condolences and aroha. Nga mihi Maggy Tai Rakena
