To Joanna's sons,
My mother Sally Mair (nee Pearson) worked and lived with your mother Jo in London many years ago in the 1950's. They last saw each other in 2008 or 2009 at her home in Nelson.
Sally passed away 2 days ago so hopefully they have been re-united and are having a great time talking about the 'good old days'.
Best wishes, Stephen

May the road rise to meet you may the wind be always at your back and till we meet again may the Lord hold you in the palm of his hand. It was lovely to have known you at School of Music and Nelson market coffee table. Rest in Peace lovely lady.

God didn't promise us days without pain
Laughter without sorrow or sun without rain
He did promise us strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the day.

This sad news is sudden and unexpected. We had lost contact the last few years so have had no knowledge of any health issues.
Time is running out for us all who are cousins living in our 80's.
My sincere condolences to Joanna's loved ones. Heather Hill xx

Dear Joanna, just two weeks ago you gave me that poem 'I am standing upon the seashore' and we spoke about living and dying. I'm sorry to have to wave goodbye just as I felt I was getting to know you. Jenni

Joanna, you are one of my heroes with your intelligence, strength and pride. It has been wonderful getting to know you and I will miss you. You have also been a much loved member of our regular Saturday morning market meeting crew - helping to put the world right each week. Rest In Peace dear Joanna.
